SERVICE TITLE :
Naval system engineering services
SITUATION IN THE ORGANISATION
? Hierarchical relationship: FPSO Hull Manager
MISSIONS
? follow up of the studies related to FPSO hull systems (bilge, ballast, CO, IG, etc)
? review and appraisal of the hull system documentation at basic engineering
? technical co-ordination inside the FPSO and on the FPSO decks
? review and appraisal of the riser pulling system, and co-ordination in the riser bays areas.
? assist preparation of the documentation for the hull specification
? relations with the Class for all the hull systems and machinery
? follow up of the implementation of the SOLAS and others IMO applicable requirements regarding the Hull (MSC
76 for tank inspection etc.).
ACTIVITIES
? Take good knowledge of the Project specifications and collect all necessary information (feedback from other
projects like Pazflor, Usan, Girassol, Dalia, Akpo, CLOV and EGINA Classification Society requirements,
contacts with Vendors).
? Take good knowledge of the updated applicable rules and regulations, identify potential deviations with
company specifications
? Review and comment the hull Piping diagram and piping layouts produced by Contractor
? Review and comment the arrangement of the machinery spaces (Essentials, Emergency, HPU, purifiers etc)
? Review and comment local FPSO area layouts (mooring equipment, riser bay, lay down area…)
? Review and comment the documents related to tank inspection and maintenance
? Follow up of the living quarter design, in coordination with corporate organisation; specialists and project team
? Identify the congested area, co-ordinate the arrangements between hull and other disciplines, propose
improvement and effective arrangements.
? Review and comment handling studies on hull (provisions, laydown areas, chemical packages etc).
? Supervise and promote cost saving solutions in the arrangement of the FPSO
? Review and comment the hull specification for ITT for the sections relevant hull systems, machinery and riser
pulling system.
? Clearly identify the possible deviations from Total referential and report of the same to the hull engineering
manager.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
A new deep offshore development with a FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading ), a UFL (Umbilicals
and Flowlines), a SPS (Subsea Production System) and others subsea facilities.
OBSERVATIONS
? In initial stage of project: office based in basic engineering premises in Paris and Paris or Pau PMT offices,
France
? Further project phases: at Contractor's offices, work site facilities/ offshore as required (offshore execution
is in Angola )
