Service Description
SERVICE TITLE: LEAD SAFETY ENGINEERING SERVICES
MISSIONS
For FPSO package, under the responsibility of the FPSO Package Management to :
- Control the implementation of the safety concept during the CCFT, Basic Engineering and detailed engineering
phases
- Evaluate the contractors technical dossiers with regards to safety
- Provide HSE advice to discipline specialists
- Implement safety studies following HAZID
- Participate in HAZOP/SPOT and other Safety/Environment related reviews
- Ensure that the safety reviews are conducted in a timely and proper manner
- Ensure that all activities are performed in conformity with TOTAL HSE rules and requirements
SITUATION IN THE ORGANIGRAM
Reports to : FPSO Manager
ACTIVITIES
1. To supervise the review of contractors engineering studies during the CCFT basic engineering phase before CA
and after CA of the selected Contractor during the detailed Engineering phase for the FPSO packages with
regards to safety issues and particularly:
- To evaluate the contractors technical dossiers with regards to safety
- To provide HSE advice to discipline specialists
- To implementation safety studies following HAZID
- To participate in HAZOP/SPOT and other Safety/Environment related reviews
2. To review Contractor’s HSE management systems and control implementation
3. To organize risk management reviews and update HSE Project risk management file
4. To supervise third party studies as and when required
5. To monitor and record HSE activities, and to prepare appropriate reports.
6. To collect and report Contractor HSE statistics and analyse HSE performance versus objectives
7. To perform safety audits of Contractors on engineering sites, construction yards and potentially offshore
8. To analyse incidents, perform investigations, organise feedback to management and employees.
9. To ensure that actions from reviews, audits, etc are implemented and completed
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
A new deep offshore development with a FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading ), a UFL
(Umbilicals and Flowlines), a SPS (Subsea Production System) and others subsea facilities.
