JUMPERS/SPOOLS/CONNECTORS ENGINEERING SERVICE
MISSIONS
To assist the SURF1 Package Leader in the following tasks:
• Managing the execution of the detailed engineering, sizing, fabrication methods and qualification test of subsea
Jumpers, Spools and Connectors for CLOV project.
ACTIVITIES
(A : no – B : occasional – C : essential) A B C
1. Review and monitoring of all relevant engineering documents proposed by SURF EPSC Contractor
throughout all project phases with respect to jumpers, spools and connectors design activities. Review
stress analysis and overall loading criteria used for the design of the system by the Contractor
to meet the project specifications. Full understanding of the implications of thermal analysis
results and insulation requirements to ensure Flow Assurance criteria are fully complied with,
and be conversant with the software used for the analyses.
2. Liaise with Company corporate technical specialists to gather comments to design documentation and
to resolve technical queries and implement Company’s referential.
3. Assist in overseeing all aspects of CLOV jumpers, spools and connectors systems
construction including all associated sub-components and installation tools
4. To follow interface matters technically with other Packages, in cooperation with the Interfaces
Engineer; to participate in interface meetings.
5. Attend meetings and project reviews.
6. Participate in FAT, Shallow Water Test, Site Integration Tests
7. Participate in studies of installation procedures
1. HSEQ responsibilities:
Support and enforce the HSEQ Project objectives and directives
Support and implement the Project HSEQ management system (plans, procedures and
specifications) Attend HAZID
OBSERVATIONS ON ACTIVITIES AND MISSIONS
?? Supervision, control and co-ordination of detailed engineering works for CLOV Jumpers, Spool and
connectors systems in compliance with Contract scope of work, Project Specifications and Procedures,
TOTAL General Specifications, discipline requirements and international codes, without impacting costs and
schedule or the required level of quality and safety.
?? Interface with other disciplines of the project on all engineering and constructability matters
?? The work will probably be distributed in various places from Europe and Angola which will lead to a complex
management.
?? Frequent missions are to be anticipated.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND
Qualification: Educated to degree level or higher in a related subject.
Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in oil and gas, associated with Pipeline design.

OTHER OBSERVATIONS ON THE SPECIFICITIES OF THE SERVICE AND ITS ENVIRONMENT
Communication – ability to function as part of a dispersed Project Team to maintain clear understanding to design
issues, progress and objectives.
Strong interpersonal skills and able to work with a multi-disciplined/multi-cultural team.
The significantly larger Angolan Content for this Project compared to industry experience brings an additional challenge
to this project.
Location & scheme:
?? Resident in SURF EPSC contractor’s office detailed engineering,
?? Missions to Angola and other geographical sites as required, through all phases of the Project.
