Oil Offloading Lines (OOL) and Fiber Optic Cables (FOC) ENGINEERING SERVICE
MISSIONS
SURF 3 Package (Oil Loading Terminal and Oil Offloading Lines Package)
To assist the CLOV SURF 3 Lead Engineer in managing the engineering, procurement, construction, installation,
hook-up, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and hand-over of the Oil Offloading Lines (OOL) and Fiber Optic
Cables (FOC), in conformity with CLOV Project specifications and HSE rules, and within the agreed budget,
schedule, and Statement of Requirements.
ACTIVITIES
(A : no – B : occasional – C : essential) A B C
1. Coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, structural, telecom, instrumentation, and
electrical) in order to ensure that all requirements to design and manufacture the OOL and
FOC are fulfilled.
2. Review and close monitoring of mechanical, electrical, telecom, and instrumentation
discipline studies during qualification and detailed engineering phase.
3. Liaise with Company corporate technical specialists to gather comments to design documentation and
to resolve technical queries and implement Company’s referential regarding OOL and FOC
qualification, design, and fabrication aspects.
4. Participate in control of Contractors performance in accordance with contractual requirements
in all areas including HSE, technical requirements, costs, reporting and planning.
5. Participate in delivery of the OOL and FOC with the required quality, safety level, and fit for
purpose.
6. Ensure safe working practices are carried out along all project phases.
7. Assist SURF-3 Lead Engineer in keeping informed the Package Manager of progress, main
events, and decisions regarding OOL and FOC.
OBSERVATIONS ON ACTIVITIES AND MISSIONS
?? The work will mainly be performed in Europe.
?? Participate in weekly and/or monthly coordination meetings with Engineering Contractor as appropriate. Ensure
Engineering Contractor provides proper reporting of the progress of his activities.
?? Frequent missions are to be anticipated. |

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND
Qualification: Engineering degree.

Professional experience (number of years): over 5 years experience in oil and gas projects with significant
experience of OOL (and preferably FOC) projects, with strong knowledge in Mechanical engineering (for OOL), and
Electrical, Telecom and Instrumentation engineering (for FOC).
Good mastering of English language.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS ON THE SPECIFICITIES OF THE SERVICE AND ITS ENVIRONMENT
Relocation of the position to the plant of the main Contractor after contract award will necessitate mobility.
Availability for frequent missions.
Good motivational skills.
Good knowledge of the relevant environment, open to new concepts and methods of construction. |
